The leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students NANS Zone D axis ( South West) after series of consultation and deliberations, had succeeded in concluding in staging a protest alongside the generality of all the NANS JCC axes and students' union authorities, and all gallant comrades across the federation.
This protest would be staged to show our displeasure to the lingering fuel scarcity across the nation. It is imperative that majority of Nigerian students contributed immensely to acquisition of power by the government. In reference to the interview conducted, which was an avenue for Comrade Afolabi Saheed, the Deputy Coordinator NANS Zone D (South-West), to voice his bitter truth on the ugly scenario. He bitterly expressed the need for the government to regulate the oil price so as make market approachable for Nigerians.
Today we are in a melancholic mood and we thereby frown at any attempt of the government to turn back to us with ungrateful decisions that contradict their promises and pledges. Nigerian students find it difficult to move from one place to another. Those who do, do it at the expense of galloping prices. It is preposterous at this moment of psychological disrepair to give a crocodile look at the draconian level at which this uncanny abysmal persists.
We have decided to stage a protest across the nation to show our displeasure. Silence before an oppression is the greatest sin, not only to humanity but the greatest sin to the nature. We hereby notify all comrades, socialists, radicals, communists, diplomats, to massively come out to show their displeasure through a non-violent resistance.
We shall converge at OLAIYA, OSOGBO at 7.00 am in the morning on THURSDAY. You shall receive the mighty glory as you come. Your presence is highly germane.
